Dell flat screen monitor, Dell keyboard, Bose Wave, Technomarine watches, Sterling watch, Polo watch, Glock .40 cal, S&W .38 cal, Tangaroa bag, Montblanc pen, cufflinks, and a Sony 8mm video recorder were taken.

Arrest: 215 beat Starling Drive on 11-16-2009 at 1030 hours. A citizen observed two males burglarize the residence then flee with a bag of property. Uniform patrol established a perimeter. The suspects were located and the property was recovered. Great job by all involved.

211 beat- 11/07/09 Winston Road (Lamplighter MHP)-the victim returned home and discovered two teenage b/m's and a teenage b/f inside the mobile home. They all fled on foot towards Cumberland Creek S/D. The suspects had pried open a door and stole a Sony digital camera. A vehicle in driveway also had a Mio GPS unit stolen.

217 beat- 11/05 & 11/07 1000 South Manor Drive (Mableton Manor Apt)-forced entry to rear door and stole baby food, baby clothes, and a Sony 42 f/s. Two days later the window to the back door was smashed out and the suspects stole additional baby clothing.

Arrest:
214 beat Twain Circle on 11-4-2009 at 1020 hours. Several suspects were seen coming from the residence carrying bags and a flat screen television. Through independent investigation, CIU 2 Detectives developed suspect information. CIU 2 along with BAT units conducted a knock and talk and eventually obtained a search warrant for the residence at the suspect's home. In a collaborative effort between CIU 2, BAT, CAGE, Juvenile Court personnel, and day shift and evening shift Precinct 2 personnel, five suspects were arrested for offenses ranging from Burglary, Theft by Receiving, VGCSA, and Violation of GA Gang Statute. A weapon that was taken in a home invasion in Cobb from July was also recovered as well as two other handguns. Great teams work everyone!!!

215 beat- 10/21/09 361 Six Flags Drive (Boost Mobile)-front glass door smashed in and suspects stole a sharp cash register and cash.
215 beat- (Flood Victim) 705 Whisper Trail (Whisper Wood Apt)-victim left belongings in an apartment that was flooded out and returned to find that most of the furniture, a Sony 32 f/s, clothing, dishes and children toys had been stolen.
217 beat- 10/31/09-11/02/09 1150 Veterans Memorial Highway (Pizza Hut)-a side window was broken out and a Pepsi drink cooler was stolen from the inside. This house backs up to Brawner Lake Drive which had a burglary the day before.

215 beat-10/07/09 The BAT unit responded to a request to stake out a specific location in reference to ten burglaries in 215/216 beat in a period of several days. Suspect information included two teenage b/m's with Mohawk hair styles. The unit followed a suspect vehicle from the target location and conducted a traffic stop detained three, and then were involved in a foot chase with the fourth. K-9 Officer K.C. Robinson and Chip responded and tracked the suspect to a house. The suspect was located inside and taken into custody with out incident. An HP laptop and MP 3 player taken in a burglary 15 minutes prior to BAT arriving was recovered. This should help clear the prior burglaries. Great Work!!!!!!

Most of the property was recovered at a staged area in the woods. The female was charged with burglary. A second suspect fled and was not located.

Entering Autos This is a direct result of a citizen calling in suspicious activity!!!!!!! *****Arrest***** On 07/28/09 Officers responded to suspicious activity in the area of 609 Village Lane . They approached on foot and watched a male and female breaking into cars. They were able to get both into custody. Further investigation led to charging both suspects with 7 counts of entering auto, obstruction, and criminal trespass. Great Job!!!!

Security disengaged and both suspects fled in a red, late model, Chevy blazer (the tag was bent up to hide it).

Precinct 2 Crime Update Date 07-09-2009 Burglaries *****Arrest***** 210 beat - 07/06/09 Sanders Road-Precinct Two officers responded to a burglary in progress and quickly detained two females. The investigation revealed that the suspects knew the homeowners and additional items discovered in their vehicle were reported stolen from a burglary down the street earlier that week. Precinct 2 Crime Update Date 07-07-2009 Burglaries *****ARREST***** 212 beat- 07/02/09 Springbrook Trail (Concord Chase Apt)-a back window was broken out and seven guitars were stolen. The victim discovered one of the guitars was sold at Dirt Cheep Music. Detectives developed a suspect. That same suspect came back to sell a second stolen guitar and was confronted by Smyrna Police. The suspect fought and then ran from Smyrna Police. An accomplice fled in a vehicle. The accomplice was stopped later by Smyrna and arrested on an outstanding burglary warrant. The police learned that the first suspect was hiding in a business on South Cobb Drive . He ran prior to police arriving. Detectives found him hiding in the woods and the suspect was arrested without incident. Great Job!!!!

The victim, who was home at the time, had a purse/contents stolen. Recent burglaries in the area pointed to a possible suspect. A K-9 article search of the area led to stolen items from a previous burglary in the backyard of the juvenile suspect. Det. Duteau arrested the suspect. Nice Job!!!!

The suspects left the monitors and drove off in a newer model red four door car bearing a white temporary tag.

214 beat- 06/30/09 Hilltop Circle Extension-victim found that a window a/c had been stolen and suspects that the room mate that lives in that room.
215 beat- 06/30/09 7365 Six Flags Drive (Hong Kong Super Buffet)-officers responded to an alarm call and discovered forced entry. The video shows a thin b/m 18-22 yoa wearing a “white muscle shirt” a light colored hat on top of a dark bandana. The suspect could not open the register or fit the register through the small opening in the door. Three dollars in loose change was stolen.

All three had bandanas on to cover their faces and were wearing gloves. It is believed that two are b/m's and one is a w/m. They were in the business less than three minutes.

The suspects stole an Apple Macbook, a Dell laptop, an Apple I-pod, two Louis Vitton purses and wallets, a men's Kenneth Cole watch, a men's G-shock watch, and three ball caps.
